The Groups meets once per month for a morning with a minimum of ten meetings per year and the participants take it in turn to host the meetings. The meetings start at 8:30 am and finish at noon. Each session starts with networking over coffee and muffins, followed by an update on the operations of each participant’s company, and the identification of issues and topics that the participants want help and advice on. Sometimes there is a 30 to 45-minute presentation on an issue that the Group wants to hear about by a subject matter expert. The host then does a tour of their facility and the group then reconvenes where the participants are encouraged to provide the host with comments regarding their company’s operations. Discussion then ensues on the topics that have been identified by the participants.

Our Diverse Network
While participants are from diverse industry sectors, it is surprising how many “issues” are common to all. These can range from the lack of skilled labour, succession planning, productivity issues, new product development, supply chain issues, cash flow concerns, labour relations, team building, and all the fundamentals of running a business.
Participants come out of a meeting with practical solutions to real problems, access to expertise and trusted service providers that they were not previously aware of, and having saved themselves a lot of money in consulting fees.
